Meg Mainzer-Cohen,
President and Executive Director
Meg Mainzer-Cohen has been the president and executive director of the Back Bay Association since 2000 and has a long, successful track record of working on programs that
improve the community. She was the Chief Executive Officer of the Somerville Community Corporation, Somerville’s only community development corporation (CDC),
which was dedicated to promoting positive social and economic change, and developed and managed affordable housing. For seven years, Ms. Mainzer-Cohen worked for the
Downtown Crossing Association, a nonprofit association of businesses dedicated to the civic, economic and cultural development of Boston’s central business district.
Alexander Cooper,
Director of Membership & Marketing
Alexander Cooper joined the Back Bay Association in 2007 as Director of Membership & Marketing and has experience in field organizing for a number of electoral and
issue-based campaigns in the Boston area. After graduating from Suffolk University with a BA in English, Alex worked as a canvass coordinator for MassEquality and as
field director for a state senate campaign. At the Back Bay Association Alex has focused his efforts on growing the BBA's membership as well as on initiating programs
that promote the Back Bay as a consumer destination.
