Spotlight On: Business District

Business District’s mission is simple: to provide their members with luxurious and well-appointed surroundings, cutting-edge technology, and superb customer service.

When Matt LoGuidice, one of the Business District’s Founders, was spending time in LA a few years ago, he worked for a time at a shared office space. He was impressed with what he experienced and talked to the owner about possibly franchising and opening another center in Boston. He and his partner/co-founder, Ben Gunther, were about to sign the paperwork when they had an epiphany: they needed to open their own center, unique from (and superior to) all the other shared office options out there.

After an exhaustive search, Matt and Ben found the perfect building in an amazing Back Bay location and began to design and build the most unique and stunning shared office space in Boston.

Choosing Back Bay to base their business was a conscious choice – it’s the most dynamic area of Boston and it’s growing at an incredible pace. Back Bay is a perfect mix of old and new and the feeling here is very different from that of the Financial District. When people come to this side of Boston they breathe a sigh of relief, it seems cleaner, classier, more open, and less congested. The team at the Business District feels that more and more businesses are going to make the move to Back Bay in the next few years.

“Business District stands out because we offer a very high-end experience to our members,” says Business Relationship Manager Sarah Collins. “When designing and outfitting our space we spared no expense and it shows in every detail. From the Herman Miller adjustable height desks in every office, the custom-built boardroom table to the Nespresso machine and delicious free snacks in our café – everything has been well thought out to make someone feel as though they’re in a special place. Much like the feeling you get when you check into a beautiful hotel and immediately feel transported and special.”

Their customer service also contributes to the overall experience here at Business District. Since they’re on the small side compared to other shared-office providers, the Business District team is able to personally connect with their members and thus provide the perfect level of service to each and every member at all times. They host impromptu gatherings in their café a few times every month and will host a more formal event once a quarter. For instance, they’ve hired the owner of Craft Beer Cellar to come in to lead a craft beer tasting later this month.
