2019 Reunion Dinners
Exclusively at Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Boston, Reunion Dinners will be offered for the first time this lunar new year. In February, Chinese families travel from near and far to reunite and celebrate with loved ones and there’s no better way to bond than over symbolic dishes representing good luck and prosperity. The Happiness Reunion Dinner features six family-style dishes including a Prosperity Soup; deshelled lobster with ginger scallion over longevity noodles; squirrel fish with seasonal fruit; and sirloin steak with mashed Chinese broccoli, Szechuan peppercorn sauce and fried rice. This is available for USD 1,288 for 10 guests, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
The Prosperity Reunion Dinner includes six plated courses including a pumpkin purèe with abalone, sea cucumber and fish maw; suckling pig bao with cucumber, scallion and scratch hoisin sauce; and filet mignon with red date demi-glace, warm vegetable salad and fried rice. This is available for USD 1,688 for 10 guests, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Boston Celebrates the Chinese Lunar Year of the Earth Pig
Guests who book a treatment at The Five-Star Spa from February 5 to 19, 2019 will enjoy a unique arrival experience with a Tray of Togetherness. The Tray of Togetherness is a platter of edibles and sweets that families traditionally use to welcome visiting guests around the Lunar New Year.
The signature Oriental Qi treatment will also be highlighted throughout the month of February. A simple, effective and authentic spa experience, this relaxing hands-on body massage works on the energy of the meridians’ while using the benefits of essential oils. This treatment uses Mandarin
Oriental’s signature product line which was developed exclusively by the award-winning UK based Aromatherapy Associates, created according to the oriental principles of five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
Chinese New Year Afternoon Tea
Timelessly elegant and classically refined, the Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Boston offers an Asian-inspired Afternoon Tea in the comfort of the hotel’s Lobby Lounge. Exclusively available through February 24, 2019, in honor of the Chinese New Year, the experience begins with a Champagne toast, followed by an aromatic presentation of five natural, loose leaf tea blends and a tiered Asian wheel adorned with an assortment of sweet and savory bites. For USD 78 per person, menu items include Bai Yu, Cucumber and Tofu Sandwich, Dan Ta, Egg Tarts, and more.
