Join School of Fashion Design to celebrate 85 years in fashion education!
SFD has dug deep into their closets and dusted off dozens of collectible donated garments spanning several decades of great fashion and they’re delighted to share them with you at a live fashion show of collectible vintage fashions donated to SFD over the decades.
The evening will also include a gallery talk with Ren Antonowicz, Historic Costume & Textiles expert, a display of donated works by acclaimed Boston designer Francesco “Ches” DiRusso, a gallery of vintage SFD photos from the 30s, 60s, and 90s, and an exciting announcement from SFD.
General admission is $34, celebrating their 1934 founding

Please join Porto Boston on Saturday evening January 25, 2020 for a Rialto Pop Up Dinner prepared by Chef Jody Adams and the Porto culinary team. Enjoy light bites and cocktails from 6-7pm, followed by a reminiscent 5 course dinner of Rialto inspired favorites paired with our selection of Italian Wines. During this 3-day studio workshop Chris Firger will share a variety of the techniques he uses to create bold, dynamic, and eye-catching work.
During this 3-day studio workshop Chris Firger will share a variety of the techniques he uses to create bold, dynamic, and eye-catching works with acrylic paint. For experienced painters and beginners alike, this class will explore subjects such as composition, brushwork, layering, even varnishing, all with the goal of bringing more life to each painting you work on. Each day students can expect a lesson and demonstration from the artist in the morning, followed by painting and one on one instruction in the afternoon. Students will be responsible for bringing their own painting supplies (*see below), lunch, and reference photos. To purchase tickets click here.
The program will run Wednesday March 18 – Friday March 20, 2020. 9:30 – 4:30 with a one hour lunch break each day.
Tuition is $300 ($250 for Artist Members of the Copley Society of Art and $275 for Patrons and Young Collectors. Please call the gallery to apply your discount to the workshop tuition fee)
Enrollment: Registration is open from December 15 to March 10. Workshop is limited to 14 students.
