The Bristol Restaurant & Bar makes Hump Day the best day of the week with their Burgers & Burgundy. Every Wednesday night, burger lovers can enjoy the object of their gastronomic desire paired with tastings of two Burgundian-style wines. It’s a tasty little opportunity to try something new as the paired wines, chosen by the in-house wine director, will be from bottles that aren’t regularly available by the glass. Fourth Annual Kentucky Derby Party at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen
On Saturday, May 5, giddyup to OAK Long Bar + Kitchen for its fourth annual Kentucky Derby Party! Mint Juleps will be flowing all afternoon, along with many Derby-inspired special cocktails. Purchase of a specialty cocktail gets you a raffle ticket with a randomly selected horse’s number – after the race winning tickets can be redeemed for a Maker’s Mark prize. The regular food menu will be available plus two southern-inspired specials: Hush Puppies and Hot Fried Chicken Sliders.
Derby attire is highly encouraged. Break out your finest seersucker, sundresses, bowties and hats – prizes will be awarded to “Best Dressed” and “Best Hat.” A big screen TV will be in the dining room for guests to catch all the action.
New this year: Saddle up at the best seats in the house! For $750, reserve a High-Top table with standing room for 12 people at 4:00pm in the heart of the restaurant. Table will include a round of Mint Juleps, two bottles of G.H. Mumm Courdon Rouge (the Official Champagne of the Kentucky Derby) and plenty of bar snacks. Join Hall of Famer and 3x Super Bowl champion Tedy Bruschi during the Thursday Night Football broadcast of the Patriots v. Giants game
The Lenox Hotel is the place to be on Thursday night October 10th!
Tedy Bruschi will be here to provide pre-game intro, half-time and post-game analysis while the longtime rival Patriots and Giants square up during the live NFL broadcast.
Proceeds from the event will benefit TEDY’S TEAM, Tedy’s foundation that raises awareness of stroke and heart disease while supporting survivors on their journey.

During this 3-day studio workshop Chris Firger will share a variety of the techniques he uses to create bold, dynamic, and eye-catching work.
During this 3-day studio workshop Chris Firger will share a variety of the techniques he uses to create bold, dynamic, and eye-catching works with acrylic paint. For experienced painters and beginners alike, this class will explore subjects such as composition, brushwork, layering, even varnishing, all with the goal of bringing more life to each painting you work on. Each day students can expect a lesson and demonstration from the artist in the morning, followed by painting and one on one instruction in the afternoon. Students will be responsible for bringing their own painting supplies (*see below), lunch, and reference photos. To purchase tickets click here.
The program will run Wednesday March 18 – Friday March 20, 2020. 9:30 – 4:30 with a one hour lunch break each day.
Tuition is $300 ($250 for Artist Members of the Copley Society of Art and $275 for Patrons and Young Collectors. Please call the gallery to apply your discount to the workshop tuition fee)
Enrollment: Registration is open from December 15 to March 10. Workshop is limited to 14 students.
