Whatever you call it, it translates to the same Fabulous and Mysterious last hurrah before Lent!!

It’s not just New Orleans and Rio that will have all of the fun this year…BYPA is hosting its own Boston Mardi Gras!! Complimentary Beads, Masks, appetizers, and renowned “King Cakes” will be waiting for you upon arrival.

The BYPA Mardi Gras Party will be hosted at LIR on Tuesday, February 28th from 6PM to 10PM (you can stay and play at Lir until 1AM!) Mardi Gras colors are Purple, Gold, and Green.

Tickets will be available until noon on February 28th for FREE as a Boston Calendar Subscriber, any remaining tickets will be sold for $20 cash until we are at capacity. Official members of BostonYPA who RSVP in advance will also attend for free.

A New Orleans style Mardi Gras party right here in Boston with other young professionals like yourself
Complimentary appetizers: New Orleans style food and traditional bar bites
Food specials so you can enjoy New Orleans style food like Shrimp Po’Boy Wrap and Big Cajun Hot Wings
Masks, and Beads for everyone! We will have more than enough supplies, but please feel welcome to bring your own.

The much touted King cake … Who will be King or Queen of the Party?
There will be Mardi Gras drink (hurricanes) available and food specials prepared by LIR and available for purchase
Event is cash bar, please remember to tip your bartenders!
Stay, play and dance the night away at LIR til closing
What a night, maybe you’ll meet that mystery masked someone or earn some extra beads!

Dress Code: Mardi Gras Style is encouraged! Get in the spirit and come dressed to impress! Bonus if you dress in Mardi Gras colors!

King Cake Contest: There will be one King Cake for every 25 attendees, with one Mardi Gras “baby” in each King Cake. Those that find the babies will be entered into a King/Queen of Mardi Gras contest. The winner of the contest will be crowned King or Queen of Mardi Gras with a crown and tons of throwing beads and win a prize!

Join Berklee College of Music at the eighth annual concert of brand-new, original musical theater songs written, orchestrated, and performed by Berklee students and alumni. Featuring a powerhouse band and a dazzling array of theater talent, the concert celebrates the winners of the Curtain Up Musical Theater Songwriting Contest. Directed by faculty members Kevin Bleau, Jeri Sykes, and Michael Wartofsky.

Cheese Trail Dinner at Post 390

A Cheese Filled Evening

On Wednesday, April 4th, the cheese stands together at Post 390 for a very special Massachusetts Cheese Trail Farm-to-Post dinner. Executive Chef Nick Deutmeyer has invited his cheesiest friends to the restaurant and created a menu to showcase the best in Massachusetts cheesemaking. Representatives from local fromageries like Upinngil FarmRuggles Hill Creamery, and Westfield Farm will be on-site to discuss their cheeses while you enjoy a four-course dinner with each course showcasing a different maker. The evening kicks off at 6:00pm with a welcome reception over passed hors d’oeuvres featuring three Upinngil Farm cheeses, followed by a quartet of queso courses, and finishing with a bonus cheese from Shy Brother’s Farm (in case you get the munchies in the Uber). Tickets are $55 including tax and tip, and if you can’t make it, the Mass. Cheese Trail menu will be available during dinner service at Post for a limited time.

The “Shamrock Showdown” is the city of Boston’s Ultimate St Patrick’s Day Weekend Bar Crawl

Join thousands of Shamrock themed crawlers as they take over the bars of Back Bay and Downtown on Saturday March 14th.

With over 20+ bars participating around Boston, this is sure to be the biggest bar crawl you have ever seen!

All stops are FREE to enter with our special bracelet. If you do not have the exclusive SHAMROCK SHOWDOWN bracelet you could be charged a cover and or admitted.

Keep in mind the most important times are the “Check In” times for Kings and Scholars Pub. The other times listed below for the various venues are just suggested stop times.

All venues must adhere to their legal capacities and will only let in as many customers as they can legally hold. If a venue is at capacity you have the choice of waiting to get in, or move onto another venue.
