First impressions are most important when building your network, whether it is at a business networking event or online via social media channels such as Linkedin.
Linkedin is still king when it comes to professional networking and there have been some amazing changes to the platform to encourage collaboration and engagement. A potential connection first impression of you is your Linkedin Profile, so it is essential that you dedicate time to assure you have a Linkedin Profile that stands out.
Jeffrey DeSocio, Owner/Principal of AIMC Business Solutions, will be the guest speaker and will provide a great overview of the “How to Score a Rocking Linkedin Profile” including some key tips to have an All-Star Profile.
The event will take place on Monday, April 29th from 6:30pm – 8pm, at the Microsoft Store in the Prudential Center in Boston right before the upcoming Small Business Expo in Boston.
The event is a combination of networking and presentation. Here is the agenda:

Join School of Fashion Design to celebrate 85 years in fashion education!
SFD has dug deep into their closets and dusted off dozens of collectible donated garments spanning several decades of great fashion and they’re delighted to share them with you at a live fashion show of collectible vintage fashions donated to SFD over the decades.
The evening will also include a gallery talk with Ren Antonowicz, Historic Costume & Textiles expert, a display of donated works by acclaimed Boston designer Francesco “Ches” DiRusso, a gallery of vintage SFD photos from the 30s, 60s, and 90s, and an exciting announcement from SFD.
General admission is $34, celebrating their 1934 founding

Join SERV Boston for their next quarterly educational seminar, in a series of speaker and networking events for private event managers.
This event will begin with breakfast followed by a panel discussion focusing on the topic Boss Lady: Influence, Innovate, and Inspire…Fearlessly. Then our panelists will share their experiences on “how they got here,” through their hardships, determination, leadership, and passion.

SERV (Society for Event Planners: Restaurant Venues) is an organization of private event managers who provide support and education to industry professionals.
