Sip and Slide at Post 390

Join Post 390 Restaurant and Some of Massachusetts’ Best Breweries for our Annual Beer and Slider Party!

If you’ve been patiently biding your time for the chance to talk craft beer with the experts, Post 390 has the opportunity for you. On Sunday, April 8th, the contemporary Back Bay tavern hosts their annual Sip & Slide party featuring a line-up of local breweries (the sips) and a slew of gourmet sliders (the slides) from Executive Chef Nick Deutemeyer. From 12:00-2:00pm, you’ll get to mingle with the brewery reps from area faves like Jack’s AbbyNotchLamplighterBerkshire BrewingTwo RoadsHarpoon and Bantam Cider. And you’ll get to snack on a wide variety of sliders including BBQ bulgogi, a breakfast sausage slider, and a banana bread whoopie pie slider. You’ll even get to cast your vote for your favorite combo (you can see the tentative match-ups below), which will enter you to win a range of fun prizes.

For ONE NIGHT ONLY, Loews Boston Hotel, home to the former Boston Police Headquarters, along with Precinct Kitchen + Bar are celebrating the history of their building with a night of police themed food, drinks and fun!

During this 3-day studio workshop Chris Firger will share a variety of the techniques he uses to create bold, dynamic, and eye-catching work.

During this 3-day studio workshop Chris Firger will share a variety of the techniques he uses to create bold, dynamic, and eye-catching works with acrylic paint. For experienced painters and beginners alike, this class will explore subjects such as composition, brushwork, layering, even varnishing, all with the goal of bringing more life to each painting you work on. Each day students can expect a lesson and demonstration from the artist in the morning, followed by painting and one on one instruction in the afternoon. Students will be responsible for bringing their own painting supplies (*see below), lunch, and reference photos. To purchase tickets click here.

The program will run Wednesday March 18 – Friday March 20, 2020. 9:30 – 4:30 with a one hour lunch break each day.

Tuition is $300 ($250 for Artist Members of the Copley Society of Art and $275 for Patrons and Young Collectors. Please call the gallery to apply your discount to the workshop tuition fee)

Enrollment: Registration is open from December 15 to March 10. Workshop is limited to 14 students.

The LAST LONG RUN pres. by Marathon Sports & New Balance

Join Marathon Sports and New Balance on Saturday, March 28th as you put in your longest run before Marathon Monday!

Meet at 7:15am on Saturday March 28th at Marathon Sports Boston (671 Boylston St, Boston, MA). You’ll be able to store your belongs in the store while New Balance gives everyone a lift via bus to mile 5. All runners will run from mile 5 back to the Boston store with refueling stations along the way (water and nutrition in front of our Wellesley and Brookline stores).

After the run, Marathon Sports will be providing some food to help with the recovery; they know 21 miles can take a lot out of you!

SPACE IS LIMITED, so make sure to RSVP TODAY! If the RSVPs are sold out, you will be placed on a wait list. As spots become available on the buses, they will be filled from the wait list and you will be informed via email. If you’re on the wait list, don’t fret! The wait list works!
