The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra will hold its 44th Annual Christmas Concert at Emmanuel Church.

The concert will feature Mark Harvey’s piece No Walls, an anthem of inclusivity, healing and joy, together with jazz carols and selections from the Duke Ellington/Billy Strayhorn arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite – an exuberant big band take on the perennial classic.

Proceeds will benefit the Refugee Immigration Ministry (RIM), an organization of multiple faiths and cultures that provides support to individuals and families who have been uprooted by violence.

The Winter Walk is a new initiative raising funds and awareness to help end homelessness in Boston. Participants will gather in Copley Square and walk 2 miles together and then gather outside for a community breakfast and presentation from partner organizations and our homeless community. Participants will receive a Winter Walk knit hat at registration and a community breakfast at the conclusion of the event.

A portion of your registration fee is tax deductible. Although it is not a requirement for participation, organizers encourage each participant to raise additional funds for their partner organizations. Every contribution counts and makes an impact.

The Bristol Restaurant & Bar makes Hump Day the best day of the week with their Burgers & Burgundy. Every Wednesday night, burger lovers can enjoy the object of their gastronomic desire paired with tastings of two Burgundian-style wines. It’s a tasty little opportunity to try something new as the paired wines, chosen by the in-house wine director, will be from bottles that aren’t regularly available by the glass. The historic Swan Boats kick off another season in the Public Garden.

On April 13, the Swan Boats officially open for the 2019 Season, bringing joy to families from near and far until Labor Day, September 2.

Spring hours (April 13 – June 20) are 10 am to 4:00 pm.  Summer hours (June 21 – Labor Day) are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The Swan Boats are open every day, weather permitting. We cannot operate in rain, high winds or extreme heat.

Purchasing Tickets
The Swan Boat ride lasts about 12-15 minutes while the driver pedals you around the Public Garden lagoon. Tickets are purchased at the Swan Boat dock prior to boarding the boat. No reservations are needed. We accept cash or credit card. The wait for a ride is typically no more than 5-10 minutes.
