Eataly Presents Pizza with the Pros
Oct 24 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

A never before seen pizza showdown is coming your way!

This fall at Eataly, some of New England’s most decorated athletes will trade their jerseys for pizzaioli (pizza maker) aprons and step up to our authentic Neapolitan wood-fired ovens. Pizza-making skills will be put to the test as each athlete competes for the title of “Best Pizzaiolo Pro.”

On October 24, athletes Rob Ninkovich and Jarvis Green of the New England Patriots will trade their jerseys for pizzaioli (pizza maker) aprons and step up to our authentic Neapolitan wood-fired ovens. Two of New England’s most decorated athletes will put their pizza-making skills to the test and compete for the title of “Best Pizzaioli Pro!”  At the end of the night, guests can taste and vote for their favorite pizza as well as meet and have their photo taken with the guest athletes.

And the best part of all? Portions of proceeds from tickets and pizza sales will go to each athlete’s charity of choice. Jarvis Green’s charity of choice is the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation (dedicated to finding a treatment and eventual cure for Pitt Hopkins Syndrome) and Rob Ninkovich’s charity of choice is The Light Foundation (helps youth achieve their highest potential by providing them with unique outdoor learning experiences).

Can’t make it to the event? Don’t worry! For the rest of the month, each athlete’s pizza will be featured on La Pizza & La Pasta’s menu for you to come by and try.

Cook Better, Live Better: Food and Film – Big Night
Mar 13 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Join Eataly Boston at La Scuola as they take inspiration from Primo and Secondo, two Italian immigrants determined to offer their American restaurant guests the feast of a lifetime in Big Night.

In both Italian and Italian-American films, scenes that feature a specific food or traditional dish stand the test of time in the hearts of movie lovers. Who can forget Clemenza teaching Michael Corleone how to prepare tomato sauce with sausage and meatballs in The Godfather? Back in Italy, Alberto Sordi famously devours a plate ofmaccheroni wearing a baseball cap in the iconic and hilarious film, Un Americano a Roma. These films all reaffirm the importance of food in Italian culture as a means of bringing family and friends together. To have a good meal is one of life’s pure enjoyments that is so thoroughly and infinitely understood by Italians, and Eataly would like to share this sentiment with their guests.

In this class, guests will:

  • Help prepare a menu inspired by Big Night, the 1996 cult hit starring Tony Shalhoub and Stanley Tucci
  • Participate in a hands-on cooking experience with La Scuola’s chef
  • Enjoy three courses with paired wines
  • Learn more about wine and wine pairing from and Eataly sommelier
  • Take home menu, adapted recipes, and wine tasting notes

Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes. Please note, the level of hands-on participation differs from class to class. All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
