Volanic Wines of Italy at Terra
Jan 18 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Terra rolls out a spectacular five-course meal featuring volcanic wines of Italy.

Terra Eataly Wine Dinner Boston Back Bay

Photo: BostonChefs

The volcanoes of Italy have endowed history with countless legends, landscapes and ultimately, some of the most expressive wines in the world.

“The discerning characteristic of volcanic terroir and the wines it produces lies on the palate. A perceptible, laser like, linear texture that transcends grape variety and region. A palpable austerity and minerality that translates to smoky, ashy, dusty, chalky textures that no other soil is capable of producing.” – The Winebow Group

Guests will enjoy a spectacular five-course wine dinner featuring thoughtfully prepared, hearty dishes by Chef Dan Bazzinotti and guest speakers to explain the unique nuances of each volcanic wine.

Featured wines will include:
Massifitti, Suavia
Erse Etna Bianco, Tenuta di Fessina
Erse Etna Rosso, Tenuta di Fessina
Terra di Lavoro, Galardi
Aglianico del Vulture, Bisceglia

Earth Day 2018 at Eataly Boston
Apr 21 @ 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Tastings by Sustainable Producers

Every year, Earth Day reminds us to celebrate our planet, protect the environment, and reflect upon our impact as humans.

From recycling to bicycling, our daily choices can make a difference. This year, join Eataly as we choose to support our local producers, whose sustainable products are good (taste delicious), clean (don’t hurt the environment), and fair (treat employees well).

Earth Day

From 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, our marketplace will be transformed into an open farmer’s market featuring over a dozen of our local producers, who will offer complimentary tastes of their sustainable products that are regularly stocked at Eataly. From cheese to charcuterie to wine, our producers will share the stories behind their wares, in addition to suggestions on how to incorporate them into recipes.

Then, on April 22, enjoy 50% off compostable espresso capsules! This line by Caffè Vergnano, Italy’s oldest roasting company, is the first range of compostable capsules compatible with Nespresso machines. Send these capsules back to the Earth through a commercial composting system.

Oct 24 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

A never before seen pizza showdown is coming your way!

This fall at Eataly, some of New England’s most decorated athletes will trade their jerseys for pizzaioli (pizza maker) aprons and step up to our authentic Neapolitan wood-fired ovens. Pizza-making skills will be put to the test as each athlete competes for the title of “Best Pizzaiolo Pro.”

On October 24, athletes Rob Ninkovich and Jarvis Green of the New England Patriots will trade their jerseys for pizzaioli (pizza maker) aprons and step up to our authentic Neapolitan wood-fired ovens. Two of New England’s most decorated athletes will put their pizza-making skills to the test and compete for the title of “Best Pizzaioli Pro!”  At the end of the night, guests can taste and vote for their favorite pizza as well as meet and have their photo taken with the guest athletes.

And the best part of all? Portions of proceeds from tickets and pizza sales will go to each athlete’s charity of choice. Jarvis Green’s charity of choice is the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation (dedicated to finding a treatment and eventual cure for Pitt Hopkins Syndrome) and Rob Ninkovich’s charity of choice is The Light Foundation (helps youth achieve their highest potential by providing them with unique outdoor learning experiences).

Can’t make it to the event? Don’t worry! For the rest of the month, each athlete’s pizza will be featured on La Pizza & La Pasta’s menu for you to come by and try.
