Jan 27 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Join the global running community in support of Runner Safety Awareness Week! Learn how to stay safe while doing what you love.

The training will include safety tips, scenario discussions, and some empowering self-defense techniques. Bring your sense of humor and sense of adventure.

All under-18 participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Recommended for ages 14+.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS COURSE?

  • How to respond to violent situations;
  • Basic tools for fighting back, including: the ideal stance to help maintain your balance and get away and basic “tools” for fighting, such as punches, kicks, elbows, and knees;
  • Defending against common attacks, such as: wrist grabs, bear hugs, chokes, and being pushed to the ground.

This event is part of a national and global movement in support of Runner Safety Awareness Week (#RSAW) in partnership with The Run Collective.
