Learn to Make an Iconic Seasonal Dessert

Upon arrival, participants will transform into a pastry apprentice as they sip a complimentary glass of prosecco or a rich cup of hot cocoa while preparing to expertly craft this standout, celebratory sweet. Each participant will have a choice of White Chocolate Eggnog or Dark Chocolate Peppermint, they will then be presented with a pre-rolled Bûche de Noël that serves as a confectionary canvas.

Emphasizing festive decorating techniques, this tailored class allows students to focus on all of the fun aspects of holiday baking without the stress of measuring, mixing and manipulating. Each class participant will depart with a recipe for crafting this iconic Christmas-themed dessert at home, along with a freshly baked Bûche de Noël to share with friends and family.

Farm to Post at Post 390 Boston Back Bay

Beer isn’t just for drinking! Join Post 390 to kick off Farm to Post “Cooking with Craft Beer” on Wednesday, January 24. Post 390’s “Farm to Post” tasting series features a monthly spotlight on some of New England’s finest farmers, producers, vineyards, brewers, and fishermen and focuses on ingredients that are sourced locally, and produced sustainably. Every month or so Executive Chef Nick Deutmeyer and his team create a special “Farm to Post” menu highlighting products from these farms and producers.

The first dinner of the 2018 series will include a unique menu with craft beer and cider from Bantam Cider Company, Lamplighter Brewing Company, Jack’s Abby, and Berkshire Brewing Company incorporated into each dish.

Tickets are $55.00 and include a welcome reception, four course dinner, and beverage pairings. Chat with some of New England’s top craft brewers while you discover a new way to enjoy your favorite beers. Tax and gratuity are included. Limited tickets available.

If you’ve been patiently biding your time for the chance to talk craft beer with the experts, Post 390 has the opportunity for you. On Sunday, April 8th, the contemporary Back Bay tavern hosts their annual Sip & Slide party featuring a line-up of local breweries (the sips) and a slew of gourmet sliders (the slides) from Executive Chef Nick Deutemeyer. Bodega Vega Sicilia, one of the most mythical wineries in the world, was founded in 1864 in the Ribera del Duero region in Spain. Since then it has become an iconic estate cherished by critics and sought after collectors worldwide. Since 1982 it belongs to the Alvarez family, who has extended the portfolio to include other unique estates: Alion in Ribera del Duero, Pintia in Toro, Oremus in Tokaji (Hungary), and the most recent project – Macan, a joint venture with Benjamin de Rothschild in Rioja. In honor of Bastille Day, Bar Boulud celebrates with a special four-course wine dinner, featuring traditional Provençal cuisine along with all things rosé from Château d’Esclans.

Located fifteen miles northwest of the Mediterranean coast, in the sun-drenched landscape of Provence, Château d’Esclans is renowned for their mature Grenache vines, which produce grapes that offer a greater concentration of flavor, creating the palate-grabbing collection of rosé, for which the château is known.

On July 14, 2018, join Sommelier David Bérubé and special guest Alex Diard, Wine Ambassador for Château d’Esclans, who will pour pink and educate guests on some of the “finest rosé you will ever find,” according to Jonathan Ray, Drinks Editor of The Spectactor.
