Celebrate the 4th 52 Stories Up

Sky-High Fourth of July kicks off at 6:00pm with a one-hour welcome reception with an open bar and passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a five course seated dinner. Live music will be provided by The Liz Tobias Trio until the simulcast of the Boston Pops performance from the Hatch Shell. Guests will also have a perfect view of the fireworks over the Charles River, beginning at approximately 10:30 (weather permitting).

Beer isn’t just for drinking! Join Post 390 to kick off Farm to Post “Cooking with Craft Beer” on Wednesday, January 24. Post 390’s “Farm to Post” tasting series features a monthly spotlight on some of New England’s finest farmers, producers, vineyards, brewers, and fishermen and focuses on ingredients that are sourced locally, and produced sustainably. Every month or so Executive Chef Nick Deutmeyer and his team create a special “Farm to Post” menu highlighting products from these farms and producers.

The first dinner of the 2018 series will include a unique menu with craft beer and cider from Bantam Cider Company, Lamplighter Brewing Company, Jack’s Abby, and Berkshire Brewing Company incorporated into each dish.

Tickets are $55.00 and include a welcome reception, four course dinner, and beverage pairings. Chat with some of New England’s top craft brewers while you discover a new way to enjoy your favorite beers. Tax and gratuity are included. Limited tickets available.

Join Post 390 Restaurant and Some of Massachusetts’ Best Breweries for our Annual Beer and Slider Party!

If you’ve been patiently biding your time for the chance to talk craft beer with the experts, Post 390 has the opportunity for you. On Sunday, April 8th, the contemporary Back Bay tavern hosts their annual Sip & Slide party featuring a line-up of local breweries (the sips) and a slew of gourmet sliders (the slides) from Executive Chef Nick Deutemeyer. From 12:00-2:00pm, you’ll get to mingle with the brewery reps from area faves like Jack’s AbbyNotchLamplighterBerkshire BrewingTwo RoadsHarpoon and Bantam Cider. And you’ll get to snack on a wide variety of sliders including BBQ bulgogi, a breakfast sausage slider, and a banana bread whoopie pie slider. Top of the Hub July 4th

This July 4th, raise a glass 52 stories high to America as you watch the fireworks from the top of the Prudential Tower at Top of the Hub. The fun starts at 6:00 pm with a Chef’s welcome reception, a champagne toast, passed apps, and (most importantly) an open bar. At 7:30 you’ll sit for a decadent five-course dinner with a cash bar and accompanying live music, and at 8:30 you’ll be treated to a simulcast of the Boston Pops concert on the Esplanade. Finally, end the evening with a bang as the fireworks pop off at eye level.

What To Expect

The flower arranging can take anywhere from one to two hours, depending on the complexity and format of the arrangement. Alice’s Table provides aprons for you to wear for the duration of the event. Working with flowers can be messy, so make sure to wear something you won’t mind getting a little dirty.

What Should I Bring?

You don’t need to bring anything out of the ordinary with you – we provide the flowers, vases, and tools you will need to create your arrangement.

350th Anniversary Celebration at Old South Church

May 12, 1669 was the first gathering of Old South.

In the 350 years since, Old South Church has taken bold stances and pursued justice and mercy. The church of Benjamin Franklin and Samuel Adams, of Phillis Wheatley and the Boston Tea Party, they continue to make history in the 21st century. And they think that deserves some celebration! The schedule of events for the day includes:

  • 11:00am Festive Anniversary Worship Service
  • 12:30pm Ceremony: Heraldic trumpets, dignitaries, an interfaith blessing.
  • 1:00pm 350th Birthday Party: Cupcakes & ice cream, magician, games, reenactors, and dance music by Keytar Bear & DJAB Entertainment

La Chandeleur at the French Cultural Center

Meet and mingle with other Francophiles while celebrating La Chandeleur!

Also called Crêpe Day, la Chandeleur is a French holiday during which people traditionally eat crêpes and drink cidre. Though la Chandeleur is often associated with the Catholic holiday of Candlemas, it actually stems from pagan traditions. And, of course, there is the traditional coin ritual: if you can flip a crêpe while holding a coin in your other hand, you and your family will not have to worry about financial problems. There is even a fun legend that ties Napoleon’s misfortune with his time in Russia with the flipping of the crêpes!

The French Cultural Center will observe this popular holiday with crêpes and a variety of delicious toppings. All ages are invited and welcome to attend!
