Join Fairmont Copley Plaza on Friday, March 30, from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m., for a journey to the East and experience elegant whiskies from Suntory: Toki, Hibiki Harmony, Hakushu 12, and Yamazaki 12. A special five-course dinner will be served to accompany the whisky pairings.

The dinner is part of Fairmont Copley Plaza’s popular 140 Supper Club series where guests descend a century-old staircase and whisper a password to be immersed into an intimate gathering hosted by Executive Chef Laurent Poulain.

The Bristol Restaurant & Bar makes Hump Day the best day of the week with their Burgers & Burgundy. Every Wednesday night, burger lovers can enjoy the object of their gastronomic desire paired with tastings of two Burgundian-style wines. It’s a tasty little opportunity to try something new as the paired wines, chosen by the in-house wine director, will be from bottles that aren’t regularly available by the glass. Burgers & Burgundy costs $35 per person not including tax or gratuity – the burger itself is on the menu (augmented, as it is, with Vermont cheddar, house-made pickles and truffle fries) for twenty bucks so it’s not a bad deal. Fall Concert: Voice and Guitar at the French Cultural Center

The French Cultural Center presents an evening of French and Bostonian composers.

American artists Matthew Hoch (baritone) and Aaron Larget-Caplan (guitar) present an Art Song Recital by French and American composers, including a world premiere by Boston composer Francine Trester.

The concert is a journey from a poetic French café and countryside, to the gardens and landscapes of Spain and America. This concert marks the celebration of Larget-Caplan’s recent award from the Société Académique Arts–Sciences–Lettres. It will be a dramatic and intimate event by two splendid artists.

Composers: Reynaldo Hahn, Roland Dyens, Joaquin Rodrigo, John Cage, Matyas Seiber, and Francine Trester.
