Join Post 390 Restaurant and Some of Massachusetts’ Best Breweries for our Annual Beer and Slider Party!
If you’ve been patiently biding your time for the chance to talk craft beer with the experts, Post 390 has the opportunity for you. On Sunday, April 8th, the contemporary Back Bay tavern hosts their annual Sip & Slide party featuring a line-up of local breweries (the sips) and a slew of gourmet sliders (the slides) from Executive Chef Nick Deutemeyer. From 12:00-2:00pm, you’ll get to mingle with the brewery reps from area faves like Jack’s Abby, Notch, Lamplighter, Berkshire Brewing, Two Roads, Harpoon and Bantam Cider. And you’ll get to snack on a wide variety of sliders including BBQ bulgogi, a breakfast sausage slider, and a banana bread whoopie pie slider. You’ll even get to cast your vote for your favorite combo (you can see the tentative match-ups below), which will enter you to win a range of fun prizes.

The Bristol Restaurant & Bar makes Hump Day the best day of the week with their Burgers & Burgundy. Every Wednesday night, burger lovers can enjoy the object of their gastronomic desire paired with tastings of two Burgundian-style wines. It’s a tasty little opportunity to try something new as the paired wines, chosen by the in-house wine director, will be from bottles that aren’t regularly available by the glass. Burgers & Burgundy costs $35 per person not including tax or gratuity – the burger itself is on the menu (augmented, as it is, with Vermont cheddar, house-made pickles and truffle fries) for twenty bucks so it’s not a bad deal. Call The Bristol at 617.351.2053 for more information.
Join Bauer Wine and Spirits for the Art of Pairing
On Saturday, April 28, Bauer Wine and Spirits will be hosting the Art of Pairing from 4:30-6:30 P.M.
Art is all around us, it just depends on what inspires you. What makes your mouth water on a cold bomb cyclone day in Boston might not be appealing at all on a hot July Sunday on the Cape. Just as weather impacts your appreciation of a meal, your choice of beverage can take a meal from good to great, or even from great to extraordinary. The Art of Pairing is an educational piece where you can learn the key to a successful meal–the passport for a beautiful harmonious marriage between food and drink. We will be serving Tenure Peach Fizz with smokey pulled pork sliders, Garden Punch- a Rosemary Rhubarb Lemonade, with cornbread, and a Coldbrew martini served with Pecan Pie!
